Background

NSUN6 (NOP2/Sun Domain Family, Member 6), also called as NOPD1, is a member of NSUN family. It may have S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyl-transferase activity. Recently, researches found that human NSUN6 is associated with tRNAs and acts as a tRNA methyltransferase. It may play a major role in bone metastasis through the methylation of Hippo/MST1 and consequent activation of YAP, implying that NSUN6 could be a valuable target for bone metastasis and therapy-resistant oncology research

Application Notes

This product was manufactured as described in Protein Details. Where possible, Active Motif has developed functional or activity assays for recombinant proteins. Additional characterization such as enzyme kinetic activity assays, inhibitor screening or other biological activity assays may not have been performed for every product. All available data for a given product is shown on the lot-specific Technical Data Sheet.

Protein Details

Recombinant NSUN6 protein was expressed in a baculovirus expression system as the full length protein (accession number NP_872349.1) with an N-terminal FLAG tag. The molecular weight of the protein is 53 kDa.
