TIP-ChIP (Tagmented, Indexed, and Pooled ChIP-Seq) is a high-resolution, multi-sample ChIP method that enables precise, genome-wide mapping of protein–DNA interactions from as few as 300,000 to 1 million cells per sample. By indexing and pooling individual samples, TIP-ChIP requires only one IP per target rather than multiple IPs per sample as in traditional ChIP. This streamlined approach makes TIP-ChIP ideal for studying multiple samples against the same target while improving efficiency, consistency, scalability, and reducing sample-to-sample variability.
Active Motif specializes in manufacturing high-quality antibodies to histones, histone modifications, chromatin proteins, and other factors, including a growing list of internally validated antibodies that work well in TIP-ChIP assays. Not all antibodies that have been experimentally validated for ChIP will work well in TIP-ChIP. It is important to choose antibodies that are validated specifically for the desired assay.
